The most important known bugs and shortcomings are:
- You cannot save matches.
- The board cannot be turned, colors cannot be switched
Playing should otherwise work.

You currently have to compile Gibbon from the sources.
You can build and install Gibbon with the command emerge -av gibbon. You currently have to enable an overlay for that. This is explained in the article “Installing Gibbon Under Gentoo”.
